I have an x-bolt in 7mm-08. Great deer caliber with 140 gr.bullet. Little recoil. Longest kill to date (verified with rangefinder) is 297 yds.
I have no use for the hardkicking guns when hunting whitetails. Overkill. Just my opinion.
