Arkansas has legalized hunting hogs at night with a light on private ground. On our WMA's, we can only hunt them with rimfire and not at night. The AGFC says that a sow will have 3-4 litters a year here. I do know that they multiply like rabbits around here. I shot my first on this particular farm 7 years ago, didnt see anymore for two more years and then all at once it was the hog explosion. One afternoon while bowhunting I had two groups come into my food plot there were over twenty in each group. Wished I had been hunting with a AR rifle instead of a bow could have gotten more than just one then. As far as eating goes BP they are some fine table fare, far more leaner meat than tame pork. It should be more healthy to eat. Were gonna build some traps this winter and see if we can cut the numbers down, I do know it is tough to try and control the numbers by just hunting them. Falcon do you have any prints for a hog trap? How do y'all make the doors?
