Default RE: Savage .308

Thanks guys, as far as the police/military sniper reason goes, that is one of the main factors of why I chose that caliber. Also< I love the idea of the short action. I have a Savage Model 110 in .243 WIN, but that is the long action. Just doesn' t look right to me. Although the darn thing is incredibly accurate. Shoots close to 1 " all the time with 80 or 100 grain bullets.

The twist on the .308 is 1 in 10, so I' m assuming it will like the Heavier bulletts ((150-220)?? What do you think? I will be handloading for this rifle.

Stainless steel? I personally just don' t care for the looks of it. I know that' s strange and all, but I like the traditional look of blued steel and wood. Just a preference, nothing personal, because I can see the advantages of the SS.
