i dont think youd be happy trying to use a rangefinder as a binocular...the field of vision is way smaller and it would take forever to try and effectively scan an area. You ever see something in the distance in the woods and try and use your rifle scope to get a better look, and it takes you a couple tries to actually find it in your scope, thats going to be how it is with a rangefinder.
