Normally, but not always - pellets seem to function very well. but then on occasion you can get a pellet that really does not fire correctly - it kinda acts a fuse and fiz burns. Most of the time all of the fiz will be pushed out of the bore - but you never really know...

I do not use pellets - for many reasons - but that is certainly one of them...
