I won't let my hunters shoot past 30 yards and I prefer 20 yard shots. We still have deer ducking the string. Clearly it worked for you and congrats on the deer. Still, shooting at a live animal is a very different ballgame than shooting a stationary target - I'd be careful or youre liable to end up with more wounded deer than you want.
