Clinton lake is your closest spot for public area to archery hunt. Been there many years and some real good opportunities exist but so do other hunters it is no secret by no means. Best bet there is be willing to get off the beaten path for best success. Vermillion county has some areas also and it is not much further to go that direction for some nice deer. Hunters haven is a nice place to get started they also have some used equipment for sale. Indoor range is ok , still take the time to go to Blue Ridge in monticello so you see what is available in the area.
