I own and use 3 Summit Viper stands without the bar in front off the seat/hand climber part. The reason I prefer the ones without that bar is because it cost me a 150"+ a few years back when he was at 10 yards and the lower limb of my bow hit the bar upon release. Other than that little issue.....they are the most comfortable stands I have ever used for bow hunting.
