Default My hunting day (yesterday)

What a beautiful start to the day. I eased into my treestand in the pre-dawn light of a new mooon. As it started to get lighter the songbirds began their morning music. Then the rustling in the tree tops as the squirrels begin their day. A bit later I could hear the faint soft tree yelps of some turkeys. Then later still their cackles and fly downs. Most of you know and are familiar with these sounds. Makes you feel alive! After a while the sun began peeking through the tops of the trees. The warm rays feeling good on my face as I sat there enjoying the surroundings not even caring if a deer showed up.
Then along about 0930 the sun disappeared and clouds set in. I could feel the temp dropping and thought to myself...I wonder if I'm going to get rained on. That thought no sooner entered my mind when I heard it coming. Heavy rain, getting closer and closer as it pounded the leaves on the trees. Within seconds it was on top of me and gave me a good soaking.
Oh well, the day started out great. I packed it up and headed for home to dry off and have a hot cup of coffee. Still satisfied about the morning.
