For an area that I' m sure hasn' t been managed for quality bucks and is most likely surrounded by property where other people are hunting, that sounds about right to me.

I' ve seen 2 bucks over 1.5 years old on the land I' m hunting, and we haven' t been shooting anything less than 2.5 year old 8 pointers for the past 4 years. Trouble is, everyone else on the surrounding properties shoot at anything that moves.

Hang in there though - the rut is coming up quick. Just wait and see what shows up then. Every year I see at least 2-3 big bucks that I' ve never seen before. It' s like magic.
