My newby question is: Is TripleSeven a more popular (or better) powder than Pyrodex?

I am not certain the T7 is better than any of the Pyro's, it certainly is more powerful per grain and it does burn a little cleaner. T7 is less corrosive than the Pyro's but non-the-less it is corrosive.
I use T7-3f in all of my cap ignition guns and 2f in the 209 guns.
Using T7 with 209 ignition does often leave a 'crud ring' (fouling) after ignition in the bore and some thing you will need to learn to manage.
