Well, i went out today after work. With about 20 minutes left of shooting light i had 2 bucks coming my way, the biggest one was probably pushing 140, i was stoked. Anyway, they where eating acorns and slowly working their way toward me. When they got to about the 20 yard mark the wind took a complete 360 degree switch in seconds. The little buck came right under my stand and started sniffing around while the big guy blew off about 10 different times and started stomping his feet. Finally the big one also came right under my stand. With about 10 minutes left of light he nervously walked right into a shooting lane at 13 yards. I was just about at full draw when the small one jumped about three feet and sent the big one running out to 20 yards behind some brush. They both milled around me until after dark then they finally headed up the draw and out of my life. If the wind would not have switched and if that little one would not have jumped my evening probably would have ended with a nice buck. I think that was mother nature's way of saying F*** You buddy.
