I've seen a few hundred threads on this and I don't think this will be the final one, but my methods also include baking soda wash, spray down with scent away, and spray some red fox pee around my stand. This is minimal compared to what some guys do. I don't get carried away with it. It's merely a helper. Total scent elimination is not possible. Every breath we take is releasing vapors. Thinking that deer cannot smell things that are un-natural is wrong. Learning to hunt the wind will prove better, even without scent control.
