Lots of people shooting a sidelock in the mid 1800's didn't think that way when the Malcolm tube scope came out. I bet many wished they had one on their sidelock. Now days of course if we are going to scope a sidelock only the malcolm tube scope would be acceptable for some I guess.

Yes, that's true, but I probably wouldn't have had one in those days.
At least not until I got old like I am now.
