Default RE: Once you pick a caliper

I've got three Rugers, a 6mm Rem, 2-.270Win.With the 6MM I can get handloads to shoot 1/2" to 5/8" groups @ 100yrds, using Sierra or Nosler bullets. My .270 shoots either Sierra 140gr SPBT, or Nosler 140gr Balistic Tips into3/4" at 100yrds. I bought a Laminated Stainless Steel MKII, While breaking the barrel this fall I was getting 1/2" groups using Sierra 140gr bullets. The MKII has a long gritty trigger pull (I plan on replacing it with a Timney trigger) The Laminated stock is slick, which a checkering job will cure. I've heard of some Rugers with poor accuracy, haven't seen them personaly at the range.
