Frankly I have experineced only 1 rifle for wich I failed to find a good grouping round ... a Winchester Model 70 "Classic" in 300 WSM. I got it to about 2.5 MOA and gave up. I'd be interested in what you have tried.
As for as saying which will (or will not) group well. Not practical. Each rifle is such a "thing" unto itself. It will let you know which particular load that it likes. Just keep trying.
My limited experience with the 7mm/08 has been bullets in the 130 gr. weight pushed at medium-hot velicities grouped pretty good. The rifle was a Browning A-Bolt. I never was able to get a 150 gr. to group all that well, depsite working up several hand loads and trying 4 different bullets.
