They are a great rifle and there is absolutly nothing wrong with Rugers scope rings, I have one with Leupold rings and one with Ruger rings, never had a bit a trouble out of either. The only reason I have a set of Leupold rings on my 280 is I needed a taller set to accomodate my Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x.
