im pretty sure the encounter is basically the bear charge. which i have. bear has stepped up there game. they have awesome bows and IMO are one of the best companies around now. i love there grips and like OhioNovice said the weight is very easy to adjust. they have fast and forgiving bow. many bows that are said to shoot 350, are under a 7" inch brace height. but many of bears top bows have over a 7" brace height, which is nice. they have nice finishes on them and aren't very noisy.
