You are right there. Who knows where they'll be by opening day though. The guy that owns this property used to have a few hay fields but he sold the cows last winter so all he has is corn and beans now. In years past I always banked on the hay fields on opening day so things are going to be different this year.

Up here we find that the deer will follow the same trails year after year. This held true even when they had all the clearcuts here in the 70s.. The deer just keep using those trails each year. So if you know of a trail that has been good for you keep an eye on it... Good Luck this fall..
