If you are asking for opinions regarding farm equipment traffic affecting the deer, I have one for you (just like the cliche` goes).

I believe deer that are relatively accustomed to slow moving farm equipment like tractors and such are less spooked by them as compared to faster moving and generally louder ATVs.

That being said, I believe both will scare the deer. Some vehicles more than others, and mature deer will react more negatively than immature ones. A young uneducated deer is going to stand and watch. A mature one will split immediately.

Personally, I wouldn't hunt over a road knowing that traffic of any kind might pass by during time on stand especially during early morning or late evening hours. I suggest locating your stand just inside the woods where you are likely to catch the deer watching and waiting for the vehicle to pass.
