Wow, that is serious. When I watched a show about hunting javelin they warned that you shouldn't touch them without gloves. So I see no reason hogs wouldn't suffer also. My friend is a hog farmer and I can remember how strict he was about entering his brooding house and the piglets yards. He always worried about disease. In fact I saw him once almost loose it when a traveling salesman walked into his hog house. He later explained those people go from farm to farm selling their junk, and there was no telling what he might have stepped in.
