For about the cost of a Knight Mountaineer I have been able to purchase and put scopes on three Traditions Deerhunter caplock rifles. All three rifles have 24 inch barrels with a 1 in 48 inch twist rifling and are accurate rifles. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Knight mountaineer. I have one more to get, the .50 caliber Deerhunter. Even with the .50 caliber model added into the cost, the total cost may still be within the price range of the most expensive Mountaineer.
