Lemoyne, My 85 grain load for the 250's was a guess-timate at getting the velocity close to what was recommended from Speer. It just happened that it was also a very accurate guess for my short barreled X7. From your experience with the 250's, It looks like they can handle a bit more. I have no problem pushing them harder if accuracy doesn't suffer and the bullet stays together. What length barrel are you using with 110 gr of BH?
My go to load has been 100 gr of BH 209 with a 240 gr .452 XTP and a black crush rib sabot. I have experienced some core separation with this load.
I did some testing with 240 XTP Mags and didn't get good groups until I hit a 110 gr charge of BH with the red smokeless crush ribs. This combo loads like a bear though in my TC X7, so I looked elsewhere. The 250 DC's load like a dream with the black CR Sabots. The black CR sabots also group better than MMP HPH 24's and the Harvester shorts. At least with the 85 gr charge.
