a 22" 300wsm barrel sound quite short and less than ideal.

I'd consider the 30-06? 308? 358win?

the 7mm rem mag has a 24" barrel like the 300win.mag and would have less recoil, and still do what the 300win.mag would, or at least very closely.

with short barrels, technically the 325wsm would to better from a 22" barrel than the 300 or 270wsm would be.

what are you looking for this gun to do? part of me would want a short action cartridge like that of the 7mm-08 or 308 or 358win or 450 even?

from your post my short list would be the 270win, 30-06...22" barrels, or 7mm Rem.Mag...24" barrel. but more info from you may change my suggestions...
