The continuing story.... If I told you how many FPJ Knights sales you would would never grasp it.... They, Knight, have a hard time believing the amount they sell, but they certainly are not going to argue. Loading a weather proof, temperature forgiving , FPJ is about the easiest way in the world to cap and un cap a rifle. Plus you can use your fingers even with glove on... They are big time in many hunters thoughts. With the FPJ capped and a muzzle mitt on the barrel throw hole darn thing in a river come back a week later - It will fire no problem. The FPJ is that good.

But, with that said the FPJ is not the best way to shoot BH-209. It will shoot it but you have to do certain things correctly.... New FPJ's - BH is such a slow burning powder and it progressivley burns on top of that, so the back pressure does cause the nose of the FPJ to expand and release gas into the breech area.

Even with all of that... you can shoot BH with a FPJ.

This two targets were shot with a stock FPJ breech plug (concave face) and red plastic jackets. Check the amount if blow back soot on the FPJ.
