crnewell - Here's what I see you having. You bow with the ibo of 306 fps is at 30" and 70 lb. Just assuming you are going to use a 125 gr tip you're looking at about probably 250 fps (assuming you have a 350-400 gr arrow) and just over 50 ftlb of KE. Now although IMO that is plenty to kill any whitetail around I still don't think you should go with the G5 Magnum Striker. Reason being is if you hit the shoulder, you're screwed. Your bow IMO just doesn't have the energy sufficient to punch through it with that big 3 blade head. I believe you would be better served with a strong cut on contact 2 blade design. A few that come to mind are Muzzy Phanthom, Magnus Stinger and Steelforce 2 blade. Although I've never used them, the Steelforce is probably the strongest of the 3. I have used the Magnus Stinger 2 and 4 blade with good success on several whitetails all expiring within <100 yds and with complete pass throughs. That was out of a 63# 28" draw (roughly the same set up as you have as my IBO is 320) My KE is a bit over 60 ftlb.
