Much the same as loading a good fitting sabot... other than you need a short starter to move the barbs through the crown, after that just push them down.

Why do you want to shoot the lehighs without a sabot?
Basically because I have them and Oregon, Colorado, and Idaho require a full bore conical during ML season.

Do you think you will have better accuracy shooting them sabotless?
I am thinking the smokeless guys are thinking that as they convert over to 45 barrels and go sabotless.

Will you be changing your nickname if you don't use sabots nomore?
nope! I still prefer sabots... i think but I will no more after I shoot the Lightening..

But even with a very loose fit in the Ultra Mag they did not shot bad at all.
