I've been messing around with a 45 Disc Elite for the past 2-3 years. While it would shoot OK, I knew it do better.
I've glass bedded the stock and tried countless combinations of powder, primers and bullets. I also changed the scope and rings since this picture was taken. It looks like I finally found the combo. I hope to repeat this in the months ahead.
First try was 200 grain XTP's with 110 grains of BH 209.
After a scope adjustment, I tried the 200 grain SST's over 110 which tightened up even more.
I then went to 120 with SST and things opened up some.
I don't know if it's repeatable but I was think the extra fire power made the difference as I've been using 90-100 grains all along. I did switch out the vent screw on the Lehigh which could have helped as well.
