Default RE: Deer loads for .45 cal inline

Dickley: I am no expert.although I have been B/P hunting for over 35 years.

I shoot a 45 cal. CVA 150-magbolt.my wife also shoots the same..I use a 225 grainpower-belt bullet , pushed by 3 - 50grain pyrodex pellets. sighted in at 3" high at 100 yards, that makes it dead on at 150 and 3" low at 200 yards.although I really don' t think I will ever shot anything at 200 yards.the possibility is there.

my wife only uses 2 - 50 grain pellets in hers.a little less recoil.
all guns are different,so test your to see what load and bullet works best for you.
Hope this helps.
