help with 300 win mag
going bear hunting next year i hope..lol..a few years ago my father killed a 545 lb black bear. his hide squared almost 8 ft.. on the maine -canadian border..he was using a 303 british and he said that he had to shoot this monster bruin 4 times in order to keep from getting eat up.."no, not a joke..the 4th and final shot..the bruin was about 20 feet from him and he had to shoot it in the side of the head..he wants me to use a big gun that will do the job right the first time..he said either i get a 300 win mag or a 338. now can anyone tell me how i get one of those tamed down in order not to get a broken collar-bone or a dislocated shoulder????..i am only 5ft3 and weigh 130 lbs..please help!!!!!
