Default Puma (Rossi) .44 mag rifle

I picked up a used one of these a few weeks ago and just got a chance to go out and shoot it. What a fun gun. I took along a box of light 200 gr lead cowboy loads I had loaded and a box of full house .44 mags i had loaded with 240 Nosler JHPs.
I ws plesantly surprised when I let 3 rounds of the lead bullet fly off hand at 25 yds and hit the 3" bull 2x out of the 3. I then fired 3 rounds using my truck bed sides as a rest (didn't bother taking my shooting table and sand bags - not enough time). The group size was about the same - roughly 2". I wasn't impressed. But the I put in the full house JHPs. All 3 shots off the truck were touching about 3" above the bull. Took the target out to 50 yds and shot 3 more JHPs. 2 were touching in the bull almost dead center (6 o'clock hold) and 1 about 1" above them. Very good enough for me. I loaded the magazine up to full capacity - 13 rounds of .44s - with the lead bullets and commenced to pick off random targets in the stripping pit. What a blast - literally. And it regularly knocked some dust off a white rock I know was at 100 yds. Rifle performed flawlessly.
