Oldelkhunter, below is a link just for you. It is a press release the Leupold has put out about the new VX-I and the multicoat 4 lens coating.

Also, with the different MOA for the friction adjustments, it is just that on the dials each mark represents 1/2" on the Rifleman and 1/4" on the VX-I.
