Well, not a stellar opening day. The birds were roosted on the property next door. After flydown, they got quiet and took off the other way, but after about 45 minutes or so I had one come back. We had quite the conversation, CLOSE. I couldn't see him or pull him onto the property I was hunting though. I did have 4 deer walk up to about 20 yards, they kept me entertained for 20 minutes or so. On the way home, swung by another property and checked in with the landowner. This property is about 200 acres. I'm planning to hit that spot tomorrow morning.
