My Ruger All Weather M77 did not like any factory ammo I've tried. I began to reload and found a recipe to be very effective on Wisconsin Whitetails. With factory ammo I could only get about 3 MOA groups.
I put 49.5gr of IMR4895 in new or prepared brass, CCI primer, and top it off with a 150 gr Sierra Pro Hunter bullet. I can hit a quarter three times at 100 yds with this load.
The last twelve Whitetail shot between 30 and 220 yards have all fallen were they stood when I hit them, no tracking.
I hated the Ruger until I began to reload, now it will always be one of my go to Whitetail rifles.
