Well I just looked out at Leupolds site and compared it to the VX-1 which is the same as the old Vari-xII and it actually weighs 1/2 ounce more ..+ the wide duplex_ but overall the dimensions are the same....Used A VAri-x II for a long time and never had a bit of trouble with it.. Priced the way it is they are aiming at Buckmaster Nikon scopes which transmit the same amount of light probably in the high 80' s ...I would rather have the Leupy than the Buckmaster.
