Both are good brands. Midway sells this
H-s Precision stock. I like it and they have a great reputaion for building a stiff forend.
Then theirs the
McMillan HTG stock. It's a little lighter and more like a traditional hunting stock.
My gunsmith likes the HS better for some reason. Proabably easier for his to work with.
Well, McMillians are not bolt on and required to be pillared and bedded, since they don't come that way. So given the price and added cost to make it useable, the HS Precision is a cheaper option, but not a lesser choice either. And on the occasion McMillans have had problems with shotty work:
