Well, I spent yesterday pattering the two guns. Long story short, 40 yds is iffy for the 3" mod gun but fine for the 2-3/4" full with 1-1/2 oz of #4's. Both guns are acceptable at 30 yds. Interesting and enjoyable time!

It's sad but true that a lot of people don't take the time to pattern their gun. I personally feel that patterning, scouting, calling in the house until my wife threaten to kill me is all a part of turkey hunting and I'd feel like something was missing if I skipped any of it.
