I decided to take some of my rifles out last weekend since the weather was so nice and for once the wife wanted to tag along. I took my 7mm rem. mag, my cz-usa .223 rem, and my .54 gpr out. I set some smaller bowling pins up at 50 and 100 yards. The wife was instantly knocking off pins at 100 yrds with the scoped .223 which is a pop shot for that rifle but i didnt tell her that, i just simply applauded her for how good she was doing. After awhile she started getting mouthy about how i was only shooting 50 yrd pins with the gpr and she could hit the the 100 yrd pins with ease with the scoped rifle. I tried explaining to her that the primitive sights on the gpr covered the pins at 100 but that flew over like a lead balloon and she continued to give me hell. So after that she had 2 pins left to knock over at 100 and since the gpr is sighted for 100 i decided maybe i should close her mouth for her and knock her down to size little
( her shooting skills we starting to faulter a little by now). She missed for the first time that afternoon, so i sent a .530 rb down to 100 yrds and knocked the pin down for her. After that there was only one pin left at 100 and the constant competition between husband and wife was on!!! She reloaded and missed and by that time i had the gpr ready to go again and knocked the second pin down for her at 100 yrds. Well she didnt talk much the rest of the afternoon. Silence is golden. lol.
