Great info and I have hunted turkey many years and have taken many toms. This is a very differant year with all the heavy tall grass in the area I hunt. I have never hunted with so much ground cover like this. I know where the turkeys go to the fields and they are along the river bottoms where I hunt all the time. They are not roosting in the acreage I'm hunting but are close. I just wondering if I should set up down in the bottoms or up on top where I can see the fields. I like to set up down on the bottoms mostly because of wind. I have had good kills down below but the grass is 3 to 4 feet high.
