All the trees that bloom in April and May are full blown here in Southern Indiana, even some red buds are visible. Ticks are out in force, flys, wasp and blood sucking skeeters as well and it's only late March. Someone told me the weather is not what triggers the strutting but the length of the day. All I know is like I said I normally see birds every year in the same fields by the dozens but so far they are no shows up till now. We found some dead Deer in the Henryville area last week the first big game killed by the storms. I'm sure they are still there I'm just going to scout in some less damaged areas.
