I did read that it was replaced by CLP. One fella on another forum said it was used mostly for automatic weapons. He said they used to literally pour it on the Mini-Guns to keep them hummin'. Another said it was a very good anti-rust agent and that's why they developed it for Nam. It is quite thick, almost milky looking stuff. I figured for free, why not use it?
