The only way to answer that question. Is see how you shoot on paper. Most hunters have their preferred ranges. Its the range you can confidently knock one in the noggin, and put him down. Your choke / load combo is the ticket. I wont say what ranges i've taken some birds at. But my personal range, where I wont second guess myself or my set up. Is 45 yds and in. 6's,5's or any load in the right set up, can take em out. And out to 50 yds if a shot is needed. The other limitation I put on myself is the type of terrain. Field birds or deepwoods birds? I will never consider a 50 yd shot in the woods. Too many variables in there. Unseen things can jump in the way. Good luck with your set up. Hope ya smoke some.
