I recently acquired a Savage model 110 .270 that has to be from the 1960's.
The gentleman that gave me the gun said it was purchased from the Savage custom shop as a set of guns. He has the other gun from the set.
There are not a lot of markings on the gun.
Stamped on the barrel ( Proof Tested Cal .270Win)
Stamped On The Receiver (Savage Model 110)
(Savage Arms Westfield Mass USA)

The serial number has no letters to start of like other Savage guns I have seen.
It starts out (61XXX)

When I enter the serial at savages website it comes up without a hit.
Does anybody else have a gun from the custom shop?
I am looking to find an owners manual from that era to learn more about this great gun.

I have not tried calling customer service yet.
