Hunting wooded areas is a lot harder and a lot different than the open areas out west. I found hunting out west is a lot easier, because you can see them at a distance and gage your calling to repond to the coyote's reactions. Here in the Ozarks is mostly timber and we don't usually see coyotes come out in the open. I usually don't see any further than 50 yards most the time, so I try and listen to the other wildlife to let me know if there are coyotes close. Here is a good web site to get you started:
