I always wanted one made of Brass, but I have'nt found a piece of brass stock yet. I figured brass would be softer than aluminum and much easier on the barrel.

I have not been able to find the right dia brass in the right length. I have find them in 1ft sections. guess you could find someone to turn down one side and thread them then solder them.

little update. i just can't get anything to work on the ramrod. I have used 4 methods to drill right into the aluminum nothing. 3 ways to attach did not work. I just ordered premade tips from TOW.

I have cut my prototype so much it will work for an ramrod on one of my guns. good thing. I need to get two for an couple missed placed wooden ones.
