When using deer scent like for example Doe-in-Rut buck lure do you just use it the minute you are there hunting or can you spread it around when just out in the woods scouting. Like just leave the scent at a certain location you want to hunt for a couple days before you actually hunt?

This I would think has bad ideas,but I would like to hear it from you guy' s.
