cant speak for MD, but hunt PA and NY,
NY with sunday hunting and higher pop 18 mil to PA's 12 mil population,
NY offers similar if not better hunting oppurtunities than PA even with sunday hunting.
also small game hunting i have seen is much healthier in NY than PA,
can flush grouse every 15 minutes in various places in NY,
while in PA lucky if i flush 1 per hour.
Population of the states is a very weak argument. The amount of hunters/hunting land would be more fair.

In PA, the Sunday hunting argument is about Deer and only Deer. It is greed and entitlement mentality pushing the issue.

Those against really don't need a reason. The burden of proof is on those in favor of Sunday hunting. Their arguments are not that good so far, they just scream louder.

Insurance companies and Foresters are driving the HR in many states. A lot of the money and propaganda behind the Pro Sunday crowd is also coming form these industries.

A compromise of 50% doe licenses for Sunday hunting may allow Sunday hunting to go through. Within 2 years, the same people pushing Sunday hunting will be crying for more Doe tags.

After the Doe Tags, it will be wearing Orange, then baiting. Then it will be more buck tags. These people will never be happy unless there is something to bitch about.

It's a damn shame that this wonderful sport and state has come to this. I use the the term "sport" lightly.
