RE: SCENT ELIMINATION STRATEGY HELP
HaHa ! Yes Im a freak I guess ! I am just way careful because hunting with the wind in my favor is not always possible where I hunt due to the hilly terrain and I can only approach my stand from a given direction due to private property on each side where I enter the woods. I also know that my 2 favorite stand locations on the track of land are good ones, and are some of the easiest to reach without making a ton of noise getting to them because of the 8" of dry oak leaves on the forest floor combined with steep hills everywhere...... and on top of that it really doesnt matter where i hunt... I know my scent is going somewhere i dont want it too....... So I figure eveything i can do is one more plus.... i was 5 yards upwind of a doe last year for 5 minutes - she was uphill of a tree I was in, and almost eye level and did not bust me and the wind was blowing straight at her....I was actually waiting on a buck to hit the trail downhill- and up wind of me...- I was totally amazed and forever sold on being careful of my scnt........
