I went ahead and ordered the 3-9x40 Slugger version for the same price. I liked the reticle better, and I think it will suit my needs better. Not gonna be doing any long distance shooting with it, so it should be perfect with the 3 aiming points and less clutter in the sight picture.

I'm hoping that using 90-100gr RS w/ 240-260gr bullets will likely line up with how the scope is designed (100, 150, & 200yds with shotgun slugs) though shots over 100 are very rare for us. Should be relatively close I would think. Regardless...its on the way. For the $, its definitiely worth a try.

I guess I'll mount it up for my son, and give a report once we get time to shoot it.
