I have taken mine apart lots of times. The very end cap has a teeny screw in it and that is loctited in. I use a heat gun to heat things up good before removing that. Then it just comes right apart. If there is just the one part that is marred up you can just replace that part, I've done that on a couple used guns I have purchased.
